Agave leopoldi is great for small pots or crevices of rocks it is a small Agave that has white margins on the leaves, narrow spine and a hairy look from the curling fibrous margins that peel back. It blossoms infrequently flowers of red and yellow. Agave x leopoldii is an evergreen cactus / succulent with green foliage and red and yellow flowers in summer and fall. It can grow 12 IN – 18 IN – wide, 12 IN – 18 IN – tall. Deer and rabbit resistant. To grow well, it prefers sun – dappled shade and occasional – low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in winter. Grows best in well-drained, lean, average, gritty and rocky soil. In need of something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant? This may be a good option.
