Their huge, trumpet-shaped blossoms measure up to 8” across and they come in amazing colors, from velvety red through pink, peach, white and even pale green. Amaryllis are tropical plants and winter hardy only in zones 9-12. When the bulbs are grown outdoors in frost-free climates, they bloom during late winter and early spring. In colder areas, amaryllis bulbs are grown indoors, for flowers between November and April
